There’s been plenty of speculation about who will fill Simon Cowell’s shoes when he exits ‘Idol’ after this season.  The latest name to be tossed in the ring is non other than actor/singer, Jamie Foxx.  Nothing has been confirmed, but Jamie seems to have some interest in the job.  When questioned about the possibility, Jamie responded by saying:

“I would love to do it, but I don’t think I would be able to do it.  I don’t think I could fill Simon’s shoes, but I would give it another perspective… what I want is for the kids to go from being contest participants to artists, and that’s where I would come in.”

Hmmm…..that sounds like he’s interested, in my opinion.  I, personally, feel Jamie is an excellent choice.  He’s definitely got the singing chops necessary to judge a true singing talent and I think he would be brutally honest, like Simon.

Do you feel Jamie is a good replacement for Simon?  Speak on it…..

After endorsing fragrances from Tommy Hilfiger and Armani, Beyonce finally has her own fragrance called ‘Heat’. 

Are you enthused about a fragrance from Beyonce?  Speak on it….

When evidence of a divorce was leaked on the blogs, the couple released this statement in regards to their impending divorce:

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

I’m sure the woman who is allegedly pregnant by Matthew Knowles has a lot to do with the decision to divorce.  I, for one, am glad that some women are not continuing to stand by no good, cheating men in an effort to keep up the public front.  I’m glad Tina Knowles has the courage to make a tough decision, despite of the speculation that will come from the public.  I hope that Tina serves as a positive for other women who are not being appreciated by their high profile husbands.

I am back home after a short hiatus.  Posts will return to normal now.  Thank you and enjoy.

I work for a college, an HBCU, and I am currently on a mini-vacation for Spring Break.  I am spending my Spring Break in my hometown.  But, it is not all fun and games.  I had a home that was destroyed by hurricane Katrina that has been completely renovated, YEAH!  So, I am home handling my business.  I am homebound on Saturday, March 28.  As a result, blog updates will be slow.  I will post pics of the renovated home on my personal twitter page.
